Growing a Green Thumb...

I'm not sure that it's possible to grow a green thumb, but I feel like I am working on one. Here are a few pictures from our front flower bed. I have always LOVED hydrangeas...they ARE my favorite flower and I think they have even won Alec over as well. Here are our hydrangea plants in half there glory (this picture was taken a week ago and they are much prettier now).

Here is my sweet little puppy sunbathing in the backyard.
Okay here are pictures of Alec's vegetable garden...these pictures were taken about two weeks ago and much has happened since then but none the less here they are.
Our first tomato
Squash plant
All different types of pepper plants
Asparagus, onions, and carrots
I haven't contributed much to Alec's vegetable garden except for the corn plant...I love corn and I thought it looked so cute when it was little...now, not so cute but I can't wait until we get some delicious corn to eat!
My wonderful husband installed a ceiling fan on our back patio. I love it! One of my favorite things to do during the summer is to sit on our patio and read a book so the fan has definitely made that more enjoyable! Now if only we had misters around our patio I'd feel like I'm in Arizona.

Hydrangea's are my favorite flower too! We have two big vases of them in our house at this very moment. How hard were they to grow?

Your flowers are so pretty! What book are you reading out there under your nice new fan?

Mel-my hydrangea's have not been difficult to grow...mine get morning sun and afternoon shade and they are doing great!

Karla-I just started reading a book called The Last Lecture. I really like it so far and its a really quick and easy read.
Do you have any book suggestions for me???
