A veggie garden that could feed a family of 12...

So for a while now Alec has been talking about building a vegetable garden. In February he decided that he was going to do it! He started by buying his vegetable seeds and planting them in peat pots. Then we watched them grow...as this was happening Alec started to build the wall for the garden which turned out to be about 25 feet long...a whole lot bigger than I was thinking!! Then we picked up some dirt and filled it all in. Next, It was time to start planting. Below is the the step by step process in pictures. I am waiting until the garden fills in a bit before I take a complete picture of it.
The veggie seeds. We have ended up with even more kinds of veggies in our garden.
Bell Peppers, Jalapenos, Banana Peppers, Carrots, Squash, Asparagus, Onion, Broccoli, Tomatoes, Corn, and Cucumber
Planting the seeds
Watching them grow
Building the wall
Babette...not sure about the new wall...especially since it leaves white dust all over her face.
Working hard

Putting the plants in the ground finally
Please ignore his attire...he decided to plant these after work one day and and likes to leave his work socks on. I think a little part of him likes to look like an old man.

Sorry if this bores you but if it does then you shouldn't have made it this far!
Stay tuned for pictures of the veggies themselves and the garden in all its glory.

Easter

This was our first Easter at home in quite a while. It was great! We went to the early, early, early service at TCABC it was an awesome message! Then headed to my parents house where we ate lunch and visited for a while. Then it was off to Alec's parents house for the Easter egg hunt. Unfortunately it had rained most of the morning and was to soggy outside to have our egg hunt so we had to do it indoors. But it was still so much fun! Here are a few Easter/egg hunt pictures.

Sweet Emerson...decided to start walking just 4 days before Easter...her momma was excited!
I just loved her Easter outfit!
Oh, brothers!
Avery acting like a true 7 year old!
Kaleb contemplating opening his next egg.
Emerson was so good at hunting eggs!
Avery counting his eggs and Emerson hugging her new bunny purse.
I'm a proud aunt what can I say!

Wish list

A random wish list (in no particular order):

I wish I lived in Stars Hollow and I was as witty as Lorelai Gilmore
I wish the work week was only 4 days instead of 5
I wish I didn't get so tired by 8:00 pm
I wish I had a maid to clean my house
I wish I could work in my yard all day everyday planting new flowers
I wish everyday was sunny and 75 degrees
I wish that I thought running was fun
