This spring break somehow ended up being devoted to home improvements. I spent the majority of my time painting and planting new plants in the front yard. I accomplished a lot (thanks to the help of my hubs, mom, and dad)! I will post before and afters of the rooms I painted soon but until then check out what we did with the front flowerbed!
Above: This is halfway through the project. Notice we ripped out the hideous evergreen bush in front of the big window and planted one of my favorite plants...azaleas.
Above: The finished product, well for now! We topped it off with black mulch which I love. It really makes the colors of the plants more vibrant! I can't wait to plant my annuals (the summer flowers) but I have to wait until that final freeze has come and gone!

Above: Loropetalum Chinensus: I love the color of the leaves...and in the fall they turn a beautiful red color!

Your house looks great! I really like the Japanese Maple.
I love gardening and wish I had a house to plant things around! Sometimes I drive by the men gardeners on my way to work and wish I could switch jobs with them :)
Hope you have a good week back at school!
