A veggie garden that could feed a family of 12...

So for a while now Alec has been talking about building a vegetable garden. In February he decided that he was going to do it! He started by buying his vegetable seeds and planting them in peat pots. Then we watched them grow...as this was happening Alec started to build the wall for the garden which turned out to be about 25 feet long...a whole lot bigger than I was thinking!! Then we picked up some dirt and filled it all in. Next, It was time to start planting. Below is the the step by step process in pictures. I am waiting until the garden fills in a bit before I take a complete picture of it.
The veggie seeds. We have ended up with even more kinds of veggies in our garden.
Bell Peppers, Jalapenos, Banana Peppers, Carrots, Squash, Asparagus, Onion, Broccoli, Tomatoes, Corn, and Cucumber
Planting the seeds
Watching them grow
Building the wall
Babette...not sure about the new wall...especially since it leaves white dust all over her face.
Working hard

Putting the plants in the ground finally
Please ignore his attire...he decided to plant these after work one day and and likes to leave his work socks on. I think a little part of him likes to look like an old man.

Sorry if this bores you but if it does then you shouldn't have made it this far!
Stay tuned for pictures of the veggies themselves and the garden in all its glory.

You guys are so cute with your vegetable garden! I can't wait to see pictures of the final project. And Alec's socks just made my day! I get so mad at Elliott when he does that!
